Fashionartiste’s Blog - My shoes are so happy thanks to Shoebby!
March 4th, 2011I love shoes. There’s no surprise there as I’m female, but it’s true. I may have some that I haven’t worn more than once, I may have some that I haven’t worn at all (yet), but I can absolutely guarantee you that I will be buying some more.
Last week I had one of those mid-season inspirational wardrobe tidy-outs when you take everything out, and put it all back one by one, getting to the end of it and realizing that you didn’t actually throw anything away – due to the fact that you’re bound to wear it one day as it’s too cool to throw away. But I did take a giant leap forward and decide to tidy up the pile/stack of shoes in the bottom of my wardrobe. I pulled them all out, tried them on, ooooed and ahhed a little, fell in love with my blue suede heels all over again, cleaned them, and then tried to put them all back in a neat and aesthetically pleasing way. No luck. Especially the 2 mile high stack of Haviannas that just keep multiplying every summer.
That’s when I remembered hearing about those clear plastic shoe boxes that you can get that revolutionize your shoe wardrobe. I spent way too much time on the Net, researching the options and decided the only way to go was the Shoebby option. The advantage of these ones, I figured, was that they stack up like all the others to maximise the space, but they also have a draw that pulls out so you don’t have to rearrange all the boxes when you want to get those Blue Suade heels out, you just spot them through the clear plastic and pull out the draw. Brilliant. So I ordered some. And they are brilliant!
You pay a little more for these ones but they are definitely worth it. They are made from a very thick plastic which should handle even the toughest closest fossiker. And the pull out drawers are really what makes them the best option. So easy and sooooo tidy. My shoes love me because they stay all free from dust and my shoe wardrobe looks the nicest it ‘s ever looked. Puts the rest of the wardrobe to shame a little though….must do something about that.
Next up – boots. Shoebby also does the boxes in boot size (2 sizes – small and tall) so now that it’s winter and boot buying season again (yippee!), it’s time to get them under control too.
